How to play PokéVersus
Open pokeversus.com in a browser on PC or phone. Choose three starter Pokémon, one from each Grass, Fire and Water group, from the 27-name starter pool. Pick a mode and follow its objective: collecting balls, holding territory, scoring goals or eliminating opponents.
PC controls
- WASD moves; mouse aims; left click attacks; Space auto-shoots.
- Hold E to aim the super, release to use it, and press X to cancel. The general control line also offers right click for the super; the aiming prompt says right click cancels while E is held.
- Esc opens the menu. Online matches keep running while the menu is open, according to the 1.6 notes.
Phone and tablet
- Use the left stick to move. Drag the right stick to aim or tap it quickly for auto-aim.
- The yellow button uses the super. Settings include a left-hand layout and stick-size adjustment.
- Turn the device sideways. Patch 2.9 requires landscape; the web-app manifest requests fullscreen landscape. Add-to-home-screen steps are on the download page.
Gamepad
The official control string maps left stick to move, right stick to aim, RT or Cross to attack, LT or Circle to super, and Start to the pause/menu action. These are the published labels; browser controller mapping can vary. Opening the menu does not stop an online match.
Your first match in six steps
- Open the official browser client. Guest progress stays in this browser; an optional Google or email account provides the advertised cloud-save route.
- Choose one starter from each of the three type groups; this unlocks three choices, not three simultaneous characters in a match.
- Select a Pokémon and use Try against stationary targets if you want to see its attack and super.
- Choose a mode. Territory rewards exclusive zone occupancy; Team Duel rewards KOs; Catch the Balls rewards carrying and protecting balls.
- Watch the three-shot magazine and retreat to stop attacking and taking damage when you need regeneration. The default regen delay is two seconds.
- Finish the match before leaving. Public UI text says a left match does not count, but save.js also contains an abandon-as-loss path, so quitting should not be treated as trophy protection.
Accounts and playing together
Normal parties hold up to three; private rooms allow up to six, let players choose teams and fill empty slots with bots. Private matches give no trophies or normal rewards. Sign in for the advertised friends, clubs and ranking features; the Clans and friends guide explains codes and saves. If the client will not start, follow the loading guide before changing browser storage.

Questions
Can I play on a phone?
Yes. The developer lists mobile browser play with twin touch sticks. Turn the device to landscape; there is no published minimum OS version in these sources.
Is an account required?
Guest play is offered. A free Google or email account is the advertised route to cloud saves, friends, clubs and ranking. Guest saves stay in the browser.
Can I play offline?
The official distribution is an online browser game. No offline match package is offered; a home-screen icon does not establish offline play.
