Known messages and evidence

The homepage contains a hidden Server problems dialog and a source comment referring to a daily Firebase limit. Its presence does not establish that the limit is currently reached. The developer’s itch.io comments include two reports that the game would not start; those are user reports, not a current outage measurement.

The mobile UI asks players to turn the phone sideways. There is also a new-version reload message. Orientation and an outdated tab can therefore explain some failures without proving a server outage.

Troubleshooting

• Open pokeversus.com directly in a current browser. On a phone, rotate to landscape and check whether an orientation overlay disappears.
• Reload the tab once to obtain the current build. A cache-bypassing reload can help after an update without deleting the browser save.
• Temporarily pause a script or content blocker for pokeversus.com only, then retry. Restore the setting if it makes no difference.
• Try another connection, such as mobile data instead of Wi-Fi, to distinguish a local network restriction from the same failure everywhere.
• Try another browser or a private window as a diagnostic. A guest save will not appear there automatically; that is not proof it has been lost.
• If the same server message persists across browsers and networks, stop repeated refreshes and check the official homepage or developer itch.io comments for updates.

Protect your progress and report the error

Do not delete cookies, local storage or all browser data as a routine fix. Guest progress is kept in this browser; clearing site data can remove it. Use account cloud save deliberately and read replacement prompts.

For a report, note the exact message, device, browser version, time and whether the problem occurs on another connection. Use the in-game Ideas and bugs entry if accessible, or the developer’s itch.io comments. The donation button described by the UI is voluntary and grants nothing in-game; it is not an access-unlock payment.
