What PokéVersus is

PokéVersus is a free browser brawler by Fl3xix (Chacoon Studio). You pick three Pokémon, one from each starter group, and fight in short 3v3 modes or a 10-player fog match. I opened pokeversus.com on 29 Oct 2026 and read the public JSON-LD, news.js, and the itch.io page. I did not play a ranked match, so nothing below is a personal ladder result.

The current public version string is 2.11, dated 29/10/2026 in news.js. Itch.io still describes the launch build: 490 Pokémon and five modes. The roster file I counted builds 492 playable families, and modes.js lists eight battle modes plus training and a weekend raid. The launch wording and current files disagree; we cannot independently establish why. These are all the same publisher, so the figures remain single-source and are shown separately.

On 29 Oct 2026 the homepage response had no X-Frame-Options and no Content-Security-Policy. Is PokéVersus free?

Yes. The official site marks the price at 0, and the itch.io page says the game is free and has no ads or payments. Checked 2026-10-29.

Do I need a download?

The checked official pages offer browser play on PC or a phone, not a native installer. A phone or tablet is forced into landscape, per the public UI strings and the 2.9 notes.

How many players are in a match?

The official JSON-LD says 1–10 players. 3v3 modes use six people, Toxic Fog is a 10-player fight, and a private room holds up to 6.
