SOCIAL
Clans, friends, and room codes
Use a normal party to queue together, a private room to choose teams and play each other, and a clan for a persistent group and chat. The English UI calls clans Clubs. Account, room and chat instructions below are based on the public interface checked 29 Oct 2026; they do not report live service availability.
Add a friend and join a party
- Create or sign in to a free account: the welcome message says friends, clubs and ranking require one.
- Open Friends and search a name or six-character friend code, then send a request and wait for acceptance. Friend codes identify a player; they are not the room join code.
- Create a room and share its six-letter-or-number room code or invite an online friend. A normal room holds at most three people.
- The leader selects the mode; wait for players to be ready. Solo Toxic Fog rejects grouped play, so use an appropriate team mode or Duo.
Create a private room
- Choose Create private room, or Make private room from an existing normal room.
- Share the room code. Private rooms allow up to six players and let players switch teams; invite at least one other person as the UI requests.
- The leader chooses a mode and presses START. Empty spots are filled by bots.
- Private matches give no trophy gains or losses and no normal rewards. A normal room has a three-person limit when converting back.
Find or create a clan / Club
Search by name or use Create club. The UI supports public and invitation-only membership, a minimum trophy requirement, clan chat and sharing a clan invitation in global chat. Invitation-only requests wait for a leader’s acceptance. No numeric clan or friend cap is asserted here because the cited text does not establish one.
Guest saves and cloud saves
Guest progress stays in this browser. Google or email sign-in provides the advertised cloud-save route and cross-device account access. When an account already has a save, the interface asks whether to load it and warns that it replaces progress in this browser. Read that choice before accepting; two saves should not be assumed to merge.
The public language file still includes old offline-preview strings about simulated friends and clans, while the current welcome text, account flow and patch notes describe online features. Those strings alone do not establish that a live session is simulated. If social features fail to connect, use the loading guide rather than deleting the guest save.
Bots, match history and official channels
The developer’s itch.io page says bots fill empty slots. The private-room UI says the same; both belong to the same publisher source family. The 2.0 notes describe friend private chat, online state and the profile’s last ten matches.
No official Discord link was found in the homepage footer or developer itch.io listing checked 29 Oct 2026. That is a scoped search result, not proof that a Discord cannot exist. Use the official homepage links or the developer’s itch.io comments for announcements. Leaving a public online match can be penalized as a loss in save.js despite the no-rewards exit wording.

Questions
Are friend codes and room codes the same?
No. A friend code identifies a player for adding a friend; a room code joins a particular room. Both are described as six characters.
How many people can play in a room?
Normal rooms hold three; private rooms allow six, with selected teams and bots in empty spots.
Can I earn trophies against friends in private?
No. The private-match UI explicitly says no trophies gained or lost and no rewards.
Will another browser have my guest save?
Guest progress is local to its browser. Use the advertised account cloud-save route, and read the prompt before loading a save that replaces local progress.
