RANKED

Ranks and trophies

PokéVersus tracks trophies for each Pokémon and uses them to determine that Pokémon’s mastery tier. Total trophies also feed a separate Trophy Road. The numbers below come from the current save.js checked 29 Oct 2026, a single official source; the function contains bonuses that its short comment omits.

Why a win can pay more than the base amount

The long-mode list is Catch the Balls, Wake Up Snorlax, Territory and 3v3 Team Duel. Its win bonus is +2 through Silver and +1 from Gold onward. For example, an unranked win in Territory is 12, while a base-format win is 10. Smaller Duels are separate mode IDs and are not in that bonus list. Draws pay zero in the ordinary result branch. Trophy balances cannot fall below zero.

Toxic Fog placement and exceptions

Solo and Duo use a placement table rather than the ordinary win/loss branch. At unranked mastery, Solo places 1–10 give 8, 5, 4, 2, 0, −1, −2, −3, −4, −5; at Master they give 4, 2, 0, −1, −3, −4, −5, −6, −7, −8. Duo has five teams, so its team placement uses the corresponding first five positions.

Private matches give no trophy changes or normal rewards. Raid results explicitly set trophy delta to zero. The save routine also suppresses negative delta for a result flagged unfair; the presence of that branch is not a guarantee that every uneven match receives protection.

Trophy Road and leaving a match

Trophy Road uses the total across your Pokémon and runs from 50 to 10,000. The code labels it permanent rather than seasonal. Mastery rewards are claimed once on reaching a new threshold; losing trophies does not create a repeatable reward farm.

The exit UI says the match will not count and gives no trophies or tokens. In contrast, applyAbandon records a trophy loss for an online match closed or disconnected without returning. Those statements are both retained: do not assume quitting protects trophies. Repeated AFK also brings 3/10/30/60-minute waits.

These sources do not document a separate MMR ladder or a ranked-season reset. Mastery thresholds should not be presented as proof of such a system.

Questions

Are trophies shared by all Pokémon?

Mastery uses the selected Pokémon’s trophies. Trophy Road uses the total across Pokémon.

Why did I get 12 instead of 10 trophies?

Catch the Balls, Snorlax, Territory and 3v3 Team Duel add a long-mode win bonus: +2 through Silver and +1 from Gold. Placement modes use a different table.

Can leaving avoid a loss?

Do not rely on it. Exit wording says no match rewards, while save.js has an abandon-as-loss routine. The source conflict is preserved here.
